Division Culture ::: Hunting Dogs

Working Group Hunting Dogs

The use of hunting dogs, considered as the oldest companion of mankind, guarantees a hunt, which fully respects wildlife. Moreover, the perfect training of hunting dogs ensures a quick discovery of game. Therefore the CIC Working Group Hunting Dogs, in cooperation with canine centers in various countries, recommends the free transport of hunting dogs between countries, the proper use of the training methods by professional specialists and the maintenance of the standards of each breed of hunting dogs.

What their talent means in practice, the Düsseldorf-based medical doctor and hunter Dr. Andrea von Buddenbrock shows. She regularly hunts with her two comrades, a Gordon setter and a small Münsterländer, but the hunt is not the only scope of duty of her dogs.

With Anton and Till she also follows a track in the middle of the city’s turmoil. At the end of such search, no animal will become target. In her case, the focus lays on humans missing or lost.
