New Year’s Concert 2011 – Musical Gems from Bohemia and Vienna

At the beginning of the New Year the renowned Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum Salzburg under its principal conductor Hansjörg Angerer presented its traditional New Year’s Concert 2011 in the Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg. Wenzel Fuchs, principal solo clarinettist of the Berlin Philharmonic, is the leader.
The concert took place on 6 January 2011 in the Grosses Festspielhaus (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg.
The programme featured the large cultural area of the Habsburg monarchy with select works by Johann Strauss son, Josef Strauss, Jaroslav Labský, Julius Fučik, Oskar Nedbal, Josef Hellmesberger, Franz von Suppé, Bedřich Smetana and Antonín Dvořák.
