Run for the Wild!

CIC staff at the Budapest Marathon

On 10 June 2012, staff members of the CIC Headquarters have run at the 19th K&H Olympic Marathon and Half Marathon Relay, the biggest relay event in Hungary, organized in the beautiful downtown of Budapest. About 1200 teams (representing companies, NGOs, group of friends or families) entered the race, some just for the sake of running, some to represent a good cause.

The CIC also decided to join this unique event and run a campaign for the sustainable use of wildlife. The 42.1 kilometers were run in relay by the ‘Wild Staff’, namely Dalma Baranyai (Office Manager), Katalin Barnás (Administrative Assistant), Linda Juhász-Horváth (Membership Officer), Ildikó Molnár (Events Coordinator) and Kristóf Hecker (Division Coordinator).

The ‘Wild Staff’ will hit the road again at the next Marathon event in autumn 2012, where all CIC members will be invited “to adopt a km” of the marathon and as such support CIC’s mission.
