Young Opinion
Empowering the next generation of conservation leaders, and reshaping the narrative around hunting's role in environmental stewardship.
A powerful force for change
In a world grappling with biodiversity loss, the CIC is nurturing a powerful force for change through its youth organisation, Young Opinion. This dynamic group of young professionals sits at the forefront of hunter-led conservation.
Born from a visionary meeting at the CIC's 48th General Assembly in May 2000, Young Opinion has evolved into a vibrant platform where the next generation of nature conservationists and responsible young hunters unite.
By engaging with policymakers, local communities and sceptics alike, these young leaders are changing perceptions and demonstrating how well-regulated hunting contributes to biodiversity conservation.
“How can young hunters contribute meaningfully to conservation, and how do we make our voices heard in a society that often misunderstands hunting's role in ecosystem management?”
