Calling all creatives! The CIC is inviting authors, writers, film makers and beyond to submit their work for the 2024 Communications Prize!

The Communication Prize was established to recognise publications and communications efforts that highlight different aspects of nature conservation through the sustainable use of wildlife resources.

The Prize will be presented as part of the upcoming 70th General Assembly in Cascais and therefore shares its conference motto, Bridges to Biodiversity.

We will be accepting submissions across three categories of work:

Print Media

Books, Brochures, Activity booklets, Other print materials

Digital Media

Social media pages, Websites, Blogs

Film

Short films, Documentaries, Movies

If you have produced content through one of these mediums, we want to hear from you!

For the 2024 Communications Prize, we are looking for submissions that emphasise the role of wildlife conservation as a bridge between humans and nature – or between different generations and cultures.

In line with the theme – Bridges to Biodiversity – we are interested in pieces of work that show how conservation can act as a common platform to build relationships and cooperation upon.

How to Apply?

Nominations can only be sent to us through CIC National Delegations, and can be submitted in three languages (English, French, and German).

The original source material can be in any language.

Please contact your Head of Delegation referencing the CIC Communications Prize, together with a link to your work or a summary, as well as the category (Print, Digital or Film) for your submission.

Only nominations received through National Delegations will be considered by the Jury.

You do not need to be a CIC Member to apply, and we would encourage all to get involved!

Deadline for submissions: 15 March 2024.
