CIC Museum Palárikovo

Maxime Ducrocq and Count Louis Károlyi held discussions on the establishment of the CIC for a period of two years before it was finally founded in 1930.

Many of the discussions took place in the manor of Count Károlyi in Palárikovo, which currently resides in today’s Slovakia.

The Minister of Agriculture of the Slovak Republic, representing his government, later gave his approval for the establishment of a permanent CIC Centre at the Károlyi Manor in Palárikovo.

The permanent CIC exhibition, which is regularly updated, serves as a comprehensive demonstration of modern wildlife management (in line with the IUCN adopted resolution on the sustainable use of wildlife resources).

The Manor, covering an area of over 7000 m², is situated about one hour from Bratislava and Budapest, two hours from Vienna, and is the spiritual centre of the CIC. It is used as a location a for CIC activities, conferences and exhibitions. With its 21 suites and rooms, it also functions as a hotel for hunting guests looking to explore the southern part of the Slovakia, where hunting is possible for large and small game.

The restored Manor is a point of attraction for hunters worldwide, and can provide guests with information on the benefits of nature and game conservation as exercised by today’s hunters.
